Reading is important for a child’s growth. So I’m so excited to share my best books for toddlers list! I love to read to my babies! I try my best to read to them every day, but sometimes life happens.

Fun ideas to include reading the best books for toddlers

  1. Going to the library and read a book there
  2. Read a book before nap time
  3. Read a book after nap time. Around this time they are still sleepy, perfect for cuddles and books.
  4. Make reading the homeschool lesson for the day. You can have them focus on one word in the book and read it every time it shows up in the story.
Playdate at the library can be fun and educational.

I find reading with my children special because I was not the best reader in school. Never feeling like I was smart enough made me feel like I wasn’t equipped to teach my children. God has encouraged me that with Him I am enough. I want to encourage you stay-at-home moms who struggle with homeschooling. Even if your homeschool lessons aren’t fancy like the ones you see on Instagram, you are still able to teach your children. Every book you read helps their development and imagination.

Reasons for reading to your children

  1. Bonding with you or their siblings
  2. Listening skills
  3. Cognitive and language development
  4. Expands vocabulary
  5. Helps with attention span
  6. Teach life lessons
  7. Emotional development

Look at all those lessons you are teaching just by reading! You go little rock star!
